Why do I bother shooting film and hand print my own work? Why don't I use a digital camera like everyone else. That's partly the reason, because everyone else is. I enjoy the control, the process and the challenge. I enjoy maintaining a process as it originated. I also like that not just anyone can shoot film on vintage manual cameras and then print their own work in the darkroom. Shooting film develops a creative eye and a more judicious approach to composing the shot. When there's a direct expense behind each click of the shutter, a little more thought happens before exposing the film.
